Favor missionaries were conducting a Portable Bible School in Pathai, South Sudan when they encountered strong resistance from the area’s chief spear master (witchdoctor). Our Favor team sought to lead him to Christ, but this chief spear master mobilized his supporters to hinder the evangelism and disrupt Portable Bible School training in his village.

The team persisted in evangelism in the face of the resistance from the chief witch doctor and his followers and continued seeking to persuade him to abandon his demonic occupation and accept Christ. Finally, the Holy Spirit convinced the spear master and his followers through our team's efforts to accept Jesus' surpassing greatness as God's Son.

In response, he gave up his charms and symbols to be burned and agreed to be baptized in the group baptism in the area. Praise the Lord for His Spirit's moving in Pathai!
