When communities turn from witchcraft, idolatry, and demons to the saving power of Jesus, heaven rejoices and so do we!

We have numerous reports from our Portable Bible School (PBS) teams this summer that demonstrate how the Spirit of God is tearing down strongholds that have held people captive.

David's older brother had David participate in a satanic ritual that bound David spiritually. While one of our PBS teams was in this area, they visited David and prayed and fasted for the demon to leave. The demon cried out in a loud voice with an ultimatum: The young boy's mother must buy a bull or a cow in exchange for him, or the demon would take the boy as a sacrifice.

Our team wasted no time in bringing David to the PBS training hub where we prayed for his freedom bought by Jesus' sacrifice. Finally, David was set free! He praised God for protecting and showing mercy to him.

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." - 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, NIV

Helena said the area where she lives was known for worshiping false idols. People in her community would sacrifice animals, but they suffered from anxiety, sickness, and spiritual oppression that drove some villagers mad in the streets.

When the PBS and Trauma Counseling program started, the transformation was quick. Families were restored and people turned from believing in false gods to trusting in Jesus! Helena testified of a great revival in the land, and most of the community from one local church is now winning more souls for Jesus!

Praise the God who rescues captives!
