In Uganda, the war against the LRA is long over, but spiritual battlegrounds are still surfacing where decisive wars for individuals are being fought against the enemy who comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

One of our recent Trauma Counseling groups saw this spiritual war more clearly with a number of individuals testifying about how God had rescued them from battles with suicide.

Pitua Geoffrey (55) had been facing many challenges and was deeply troubled over offenses caused by others in his past. Satan tried to claim him by convincing him to hang himself. Praise be to God who defeated the attempt on Geoffrey's life and led him to attend trauma counseling in his area.

After Geoffrey learned about forgiveness and the Ultimate Forgiver, he found his freedom and was able to forgive those who had offended him.

Olama Joel (24), who attended the same training, shared a similar testimony. While under the influence of an evil spirit, his understanding became muddled and he didn't fully realize what was happening when the evil spirit convinced him to hang himself.

Joel was rescued from his attempt and joined our Trauma class for healing. After counseling him, he gave his life to Jesus and is now living in spiritual freedom!

Of the 51 who attended this class on Trauma Counseling, 6 were delivered, 25 committed their lives to Jesus, and 27 came away with testimonies to share! Praise be to God who has given us the victory in Jesus and continues to rescue captives from the snare of death!
