Personal Assistant to Executives

Status: Full-time

Compensation: Living costs covered in Uganda & South Sudan

Job Description

Overview

The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written & verbal communication, administrative & organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Personal Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. The right candidate will be flexible and understand the needs of busy, successful executives. The ideal Personal Assistant is organized, punctual, consistent, and tech-savvy. Flexible schedule, remote with some travel. Evenings and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

- Attend to broad spectrum of administrative duties

- Manage an extremely active calendar of appointments

- Compose and prepares correspondence that is sometimes confidential

- Arrange complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; booking meetings, and compiling documents for travel-related meetings

- Attend events and network with partners or potential partners

- Follow up with partners by phone or in person

- Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the Executives and internal departments, demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust, and support with senior management staff

- Work closely and effectively with the Executives to keep them informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, and follow up appropriately

- Create correspondence and reports, type and proofread documents

- Research and answer questions

Qualifications

- Experience and interest in internal and external communications, partnership development, and fundraising

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and Social Media web platforms

- 3 years of experience supporting Executives, preferably in a non-profit organization

- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail

- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with staff, board members, external partners, and donors

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to demonstrate proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability

- Emotional maturity

- Resourcefulness as a team-player, with the ability to also be effective independently

- Forward thinking, actively seeking opportunities and proposing solutions

- Commitment to the values, mission, and Statement of Faith of Favor International

Compensation

Compensation will be fairly based on experience. Compensation may increase as the organization grows.
