Photojournalist/Missionary
Job Description
Overview
The Photojournalist/Missionary position is available as a 3-, 6-, or 12-month contract. This position reports to the Media Teams in Africa and is responsible for capturing and documenting stories and testimonies through photography and journalist reports. Must be an experienced photographer to apply for this position. Accommodation will be provided by Favor International and all other funds needed will be your responsibility to raise prior to start date.
Camera equipment is provided (or your own is welcome).
Responsibilities
- Develops relationships with existing teams in Africa and capturing stories as they lead
- Submits weekly, monthly, and quarterly progress reports detailing submissions status, deadlines, and outcomes
- Facilitates updates, emerging needs, success stories, and testimonies
- Uses every opportunity to capture breathtaking photos and writes the accompanying story/testimony
- Starts a portfolio of staff photos and their testimonies
- Creative and energetic Christian wishing to advance the mission of Favor International through photography and sharing the vision through testimonies and updates
- Has at least three years of photography experience
- Holds previous successful experience working or volunteering for Christian causes (desired)

- Dedicated to mission advancement
- Knowledgeable professional that is personable, self-motivated, and possesses an attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines to achieve results
- Ability to work productively with minimal supervision
- Computer acumen, strategic thinker, and excellent communications skills are required
- Commitment to the values, mission, and Statement of Faith of Favor International
Compensation
Compensation will be fairly based on experience. Compensation may increase as the organization grows.
